This handy little post can also attach perpendicularly to your lightstand to work as a mini boom arm. Great for creating butterfly/clamshell/paramount lighting without having to drag out a big boom. Note: Limit the weight for this type of setup. For example, Michael has tested it with an AD300Pro and ADS85S softbox attached to the extension post on a MoLight Heavy Duty Lightstand and it worked like a charm. Of course, a small weight was added to the base of the stand for safety. It will likely work fine with smaller strobes, or strobe extensions heads like those that are available for the AD400Pro, AD600Pro, and AD600B/BM. Just don't try the mini-boom idea with a large strobe and a big softbox.
